No-Boil Classic Lasagna

August 9, 2016

This No-Boil Classic Lasagna uses uncooked lasagna noodles for a time-saving iteration of the ultimate comfort food with all the same flavor.

  • Prep: 20 mins
  • Cook: 1 hr
  • Yields: 6-8 Servings

Ingredients

8 oz. (1/2 package) Anthony's Lasagna, uncooked

15 oz. Ricotta cheese or 2 cups cottage cheese

2 cups Mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

2 eggs, lightly beaten

6 1/2 cups (52 ounces) of your favorite pasta sauce

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage, cooked and drained

1 tsp parsley flakes

Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2In medium bowl, combine Ricotta cheese, 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and eggs; mix well.

3In separate bowl, add browned meat to pasta sauce; mix well.

4Spread 1 cup of meat-sauce mixture in 9" x 13" pan.

5Place 1/3 of the uncooked Lasagna noodles over sauce. Spread 1/2 of the cheese mixture over noodles, top with 1/3 of meat-sauce mixture.

6Repeat layering. Top with remaining noodles and meat-sauce mixture.

7Cover with foil. Bake 55 minutes.

8Uncover, sprinkle with reserved Mozzarella cheese and parsley flakes.

9Bake an additional 5 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165-185 degrees. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting and serving.

I love this recipe, it’s easy, fast and delicious! I’m so happy I found the recipe on Anthonypasta.com because I couldn’t find the one I cut out of the box!

I love this recipe. So glad I found it on your website. .every time my daughter (in Ga.) Makes it, she calls me from the grocery store..since it’s not on the box anymore. I sent this to her..now maybe she’ll remember she has the recipe. The only thing I do different is add Italian spices (make my own sauce) and pepperoni.

This was how I learned to make lasagna. I was on the box like 30+ years ago.

Best and easiest lasagne I’ve ever made!! Absolutely my go to recipe!! Only change I make is omit the parsley and add 1/2 -1 tsp of Italian seasoning to the cheese mixture!!

I have used this recipe many times. I do modify mine a tiny bit….I add 8 ounces of both Ricotta and Cottage Cheese instead of what the recipe actually calls for. I like the variety of all the cheeses in this dish. I always use the no boil Lasagna noodles….and no one would ever know that Anthony’s took all the work out of it! This Lasagna is a loved dish by kids and grown ups! This recipe is even easy enough for my sister. She made it one evening for her family for dinner and it was an instant hit!! She is sold on this easy lasagna as much as I am. Thanks Muller’s!

Question…is that shredded Parmesan or grated?

Best lasagna I’ve found to date! EASY, delicious, and yes, can prepare ahead and put in the fridge for dinnertime. It’s the only recipe I would ever use now. Thank you, Anthony’s!

Favorite recipe yet. I typically prepare the night before and cook the next day. Amazing!

So much easier than dealing with boiled lasagna noodles! And it guarantees that the lasagna isn’t too watery. I’m making this for dinner (at family request), and throwing some steamed kale in there just because.

Can you prepare this lasagne using no boil noodles and bake the next day?

Hi Lorie, This recipe calls for our regular Anthony’s Lasagna, so there are no special varieties necessary. We’re glad you like the recipe!

Do you use special noodles or just layer the regular Anthony’s noodle uncooked? I do like the Anthony’s recipe the best.

Hi Myriam, We update our packaging for a variety of reasons and occasionally change out the recipes to feature something new. We make sure to have the other recipe on our website, so you can always find it here. Thanks!

This recipe used to be printed right on the lasagna box but it’s not anymore why?

Exceptionally good, better than any I’ve ever made. The only thing I did different was to add a 1/2 TBS. of Italian herbs to the pasta sauce.

I’ve been making traditional lasagna every Christmas for about 10 years. This year I decided to try this “no boil pasta” recipe with a little apprehension since I didn’t test make it first. I must say it turned out great, better than any recipe I used where I boiled the pasta! My son said it was the best I’d made also. Note, one thing I did was add a 1/2 TBS. of Italian herbs to the pasta sauce. Thank you Anthony’s!

Yes Lanae, you’re using the meat-sauce mixture as the first layer in your lasagna.

I guess the one cup of meat sauce is after the meat has been browned and the sauce mixed in with it?

Patti – You have a great eye, thank you for catching that. The recipe calls for 6 1/2 cups of sauce, or 52 ounces, so that was a typo in our recipe. We’ll get it fixed right away!

Just a question, recipe says 5-1/2 cups (52 oz) of sauce. 5-1/2 cups is 44 oz. Which is correct?

I’ve been making this recipe for years now. Always a hit with family & friends. As noted, let the lasagna sit for 15-20 minutes after removing from the oven. Otherwise it will be too soupy when you cut it. Great & easy recipe!
