Orzo with Ham and Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 12 oz Orzo (Rosamarina) pasta
- 1/4 cup Olive oil
- 2 Tbsp garlic, chopped
- 1lb. Ham, sliced julienne
- 1/2 lb Mushrooms sliced
- 1/4 cup Fresh Basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup Roasted Red Pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup White wine
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or Chicken Consommé
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, imported
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat the oil in the sauté pan; add the garlic, ham, mushrooms and fresh basil. Sauté for two minutes.
- Add the cooked Orzo pasta and the red pepper, toss to blend.
- Add the wine and chicken broth; cook until it starts to simmer, then toss in the cheese and season with salt and black pepper.
