Southern Italian Sausage and Peppers Pasta
This hearty Southern Italian favorite quiets the hunger pangs for sure. The colorful peppers and sausages form a tasty combination that fit perfectly with Anthony's Mostaccioli.

Ingredients
- 10 ounces Anthony's Mostaccioli
- 1 pound Italian sausage links, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1-1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 1-1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 each small green, red and yellow bell peppers, seeded and cut into strips
- 1 or 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove sausage, keep drippings in skillet. Add mushrooms, oregano, thyme and garlic. Cook and stir until mushrooms are tender. Remove mushrooms. Add peppers to skillet, adding 1 tablespoon oil if needed; cook and stir until just tender.
- Return the cooked sausage and mushrooms to the skillet to warm for 1 minute with the peppers.
- Combine all ingredients with cooked pasta. Serve.
