Creamy Ham Sauce with Pasta and Peas
No need for heavy cream to make a creamy sauce. The rich milk sauce in this recipe has chunky ham and a hint of nutmeg that makes this an easy, delicious dish!

Ingredients
- 8 ounces Anthony's Mostaccioli
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 cup diced ham
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 1/4 cup frozen peas
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Cook and drain pasta according to package directions.
- Melt margarine in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ham; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Stir in milk, cornstarch, salt, pepper and nutmeg; add peas. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Toss with pasta. If desired, serve with additional Parmesan cheese.
